Software QA Engineer (Sunnyvale, CA)

Duties: Working on end-to-end solutions for video stream transport and processing, set up and test distributed systems, network management components, feature rich devices, video, audio & data services, MPEG, DVB, TCP/IP and related standards and specifications. Automate existing manual test plans and write new test procedures for distributed network management systems and related devices. Read applicable standards and engineering design documents, derive test plans, and write applicable test tools and automation scripts. Develop, apply and maintain quality standards for company products to include: developing and executing software test plans; analyzing and writing test standards and procedures; writing test scripts and test tools; automating existing and new test cases; analyzing test results to ensure existing functionality and recommending corrective action; implementing new ideas for evaluation methods in design, development and debugging of software programs; consulting with development engineers in resolution of problems.

Education or experience must include: 1) formal software testing (manual and automated); 2) automation scripting/programming, GUI automation tools; 3) MPEG, DVB, TCP/IP.
